I thought I'd post an open notice, as I'm getting requests and inquiries, and people seem to think I'm dead or something.
I'm working, and my life has changed since back in the days. I've been forced to drop most of the things I used to do online. I don't really frequent forums the way I used to, I don't answer emails unless they're work related, I've stopped updating most my galleries 'cept for Furiae and CGsociety and I can't keep a livejournal at the moment. I haven't abandoned you guys, and I've not gone snotty or anything – it's that I don't have the time anymore... nor the energy. The days I'm not working, keeping a livejournal or hanging around chatting to people on forums seems the last thing I want to do: I'd prefer spending time with my friends, hanging out with my cat or my family, or doodling, watching telly, taking a bath... the computer becomes wearying.
In fact, the whole web-thing... it's wearing thin. After years and years and years online, you simply have too many buddies, too many contacts, too many people who actually get pissed off if you don't write to them every week and I've always been a horrid pen pal. Most I know online (including you guys, yeah – you, I adore you) are wonderful people, that's not the problem. I just can't keep up with it. I've given up on the whole deal. Maybe, when things calm down, I'll pick everything up again – but right now I feel as if though everything's too public, too stressful, and there's too much of it. I need my friends – the real-life friends that do not really care about my 'success' in any field or look at me like I'm a freak of nature.
So, that's a rambling entry. Part of it is, I suppose, that I don't feel comfortable sharing my personal life online anymore... even if I did have the time to do so. There have been some people who've tried to fuck with my head because there's been so much information on my person readily available. To you guys, if you're reading this: fuck off.
What I'd like to say to my friends here is – thank you, it's been great :) I'm not sure if I'll ever come back to livejournal but I might if the world slows down. I leave you with heaps and heaps and heaps of hugs, and I wish you the best.
